What FCA Looks Like at MMS

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is a voluntary, non-denominational ministry that helps spread Jesus Christ and His word through huddles that are led by students and athletes.

FCA at Merriwether Middle School is held every Tuesday morning in the library. All students are welcome to attend. Each FCA meeting is led by a MMS student who has gone through FCA Leadership Camp where they grow in their faith and learn how to share His word with others.

Students who are involved in FCA also lead huddles prior to athletic events. The huddle allows time is for fellowship for any athlete who is interested in participating. The fellowships discuss teamwork, sportsmanship, dedication, and excellence. The purpose is to help unite athletes on their love for Jesus while involving them in the sports that they love.

Leading team huddles or leading FCA on Tuesday morning is one way that MMS students are learning and practicing leadership skills.
